Supporting Bowling Green Men's Soccer: A Tradition of Excellence

Bowling Green State University has a rich history of soccer excellence dating back to 1965 when the men's soccer team was first established. Since its inception, the Falcons have demonstrated a strong commitment to the sport, competing at both the regional and national levels.

Initially competing as an independent team, the Falcons quickly made a name for themselves, showcasing their talent and dedication on the field. However, it was during their tenure in the Mid-America Soccer Conference from 1986 to 1992 that Bowling Green truly began to solidify its reputation as a soccer powerhouse.

During their time in the Mid-America Soccer Conference, the Falcons soared to great heights, clinching the season championship multiple times. Their dominance was evident as they claimed the conference title in 1987, 1989, 1990, and 1992, establishing themselves as formidable contenders in collegiate soccer.

In 1993, Bowling Green State University made a transition to the Mid-American Conference (MAC), where they continued to excel on the soccer field. Over the next three decades, the Falcons showcased their prowess as they competed against some of the best teams in the region.

Throughout their tenure in the MAC, Bowling Green consistently displayed a high level of skill and determination, clinching the regular season title in 1986, 2000, 2002, and 2020. However, it was their early success in the MAC Tournament that truly showcased their competitive spirit.

The Falcons wasted no time making their mark in the MAC Tournament, securing the first three championships in 1985, 1986, and 1987. Since then, they have continued to be a force to be reckoned with, consistently reaching the title game and solidifying their status as perennial contenders.
